ANTI-THEFT SYSTEMS: DESIGN AND INSTALLATION

Surveye designs and installs integrated and intelligent anti-theft systems by using the most advanced technologies and in compliance with the applicable standards (CEI 79-3 and EN 50131-1).

Applications range from the Industry to Logistics, from Banking to Retail, including the Large-Scale Distribution and Fashion & Luxury sectors, up to Public Administration, Home (Homes & Residentials), and the Hotels industry (Hospitality & Leisure).

During the design phase, Surveye dedicates particular care to the analysis of the place/site to be protected, identifying access points, criticalities, vulnerabilities and listening carefully to the specific needs of the Customer.

Then our proposal is prepared, complete with any ancillary services required, including support 24 hours a day x 365 days a year:

  • Perimeter and access control for outdoor spaces
  • Volumetric and perimeter control for indoor spaces
  • Specific controls in sensitive areas (equipment rooms, storage areas…)
  • Anti-theft solutions

A properly conceived, installed and programmed anti-intrusion system detects all the changes occurring in the state of the protected environment against normal conditions in real time and warns the user.

The overall level of safety and effectiveness of the activated solution is further increased when the system is connected to a 24-hour Operating Center that, in case of danger, confirmed by the video footage, can alert police forces or private security companies.

The protection provided by the anti-theft system installed and regularly maintained is the result of the combined action of the various components and technologies employed and of the installed solutions and arrangements.

CENTRAL ALARM UNIT

The anti-theft central alarm unit (Control Panel) is the core of all security systems. In short, it receives the signals coming from all the components of the alarm system via radio or wire (volumetric sensors, magnetic contacts, perimeter barriers…), then processes and analyses the information received to determine the type of alarm required and activates the signalling devices (sirens, flashing lamps, telephone transmitters…).

The anti-theft Control Panel also carries out important diagnostic activities, which are returned to the user through indicator lights, acoustic signals, and messages on keyboards. In particular, it is responsible for archiving plant/site events, checking the charge state of backup batteries, and analysing/reporting system faults or malfunctions.

When choosing an anti-theft system, the degree of risk of the environment for which it is intended must be carefully considered. An isolated home, an apartment in a condominium, a shop or an industrial site have very different risk levels, with specific functional requirements.

SENSORS

Intrusion and burglary detection systems are devices capable of translating physical phenomena (movements and/or temperatures) into electrical signals. There are two different types of intrusion detectors, available in different versions for indoor or outdoor applications:

  • Perimeter systems that detect the passage through a protected access from the outside, such as, for example, opening detectors (magnetic contacts), glass breaking, vibration (seismic) detectors, and so on.

  • Volumetric detectors control well-defined environmental volumes, such as motion detectors with infrared, microwave or dual technology (infrared+microwave) sensors.

In order to obtain tailored protection based on environmental situations and installation conditions, it is often convenient or necessary to plan the use of different technologies (volumetric systems, perimeter barriers, magnetic contacts…) combining the benefits of different functionalities to obtain an optimized anti-theft system in terms of reliability and stability over time.

KEYPAD

The control keypad is the user interface for the control of the anti-intrusion system. The user can interact with the anti-theft Control Panel from inside or outside the room through the keypad and fully or partially activate/stop the operation of the alarm system. In addition to a master access code, the security alarm system can be equipped with secondary codes, ideal for occasional users who need to access a protected area for a limited period of time. The security system code can be locked, authorized or amended at any time.

ALARM SIRENS

The optical-acoustic alarm signalling apparatus uses the surprise and deafening effects to deter criminals and warn staff or the owner. These systems may be equipped with an indoor siren that increases the disturbance effect for the aggressor or with a completely waterproof outdoor siren with flashing light that favours the identification of the area that is being broken/trespassed.

RADIO BRIDGE

A radio bridge can establish a point-to-point connection. Through a continuous diagnostic polling, a radio bridge can check:

  • Presence or absence of the antenna connecting to the security company
  • Power mains
  • Battery status
  • Opening of containers against possible tampering.

ANTI-ROBBERY PUSH-BUTTON

Surveye offers the option to integrate an anti-robbery push-button in the security system. This device is designed to signal in silence that a robbery is in progress: by pressing the push-button, a specific alarm is activated that requires dedicated and predefined intervention procedures. The anti-robbery push-button is protected from unintentional activation.

TELEPHONE TRANSMITTER

This device dials programmed alarm telephone numbers several times in a row and transmits the emergency alert and request for help message to the first available number. The customer may choose to alert any police forces, private security companies or one or more private telephone numbers in the desired order. The use of a telephone transmitter increases the level of security of the anti-intrusion system compared to a basic/stand-alone configuration that only offers local signalling with a siren.

ANTI-THEFT SOLUTION

This solution consists of a hardware component (sensors) and a software component that work in perfect synchronization to give the Customer an intelligent and dynamic eye on their high-value assets in a store; all movements are monitored (video verification) within the store and the security staff is alerted of the event in real time, so that they can take action promptly. This system is suitable for facilities containing valuable goods, as in the luxury retail segment.
